The Miyoo Mini Plus is one of the most popular handheld systems this year. I've heard excellent things about it and wanted to see what all the hype was about for myself. I've used emulation handhelds before, but this is the first Miyoo I have used and the first vertical handheld I've used designed like a classic Game Boy/Game Boy Color. The system itself is absolutely gorgeous and if you love the 90s transparent look, you'll be very happy with the Clear Purple. It's a bit smaller and much sleeker than a Game Boy Color. The screen is the real highlight. It's a gorgeous IPS display that's vivid, bright, and brings new life into retro games. Especially Game Boy games.The Miyoo Mini Plus is highly customizable. You can use the default micro SD card that comes with the system, but I decided to get a Samsung Micro SD card and installed OnionOS. I personally prefer to use OnionOS and a Samsung Micro SD card, but if you just want to play out of the box you can do that. The controls feel great and the battery life is good as well. You'll get quite a few hours even at maximum brightness. There's also a headphone jack which is nice. And it's charged via USB C.The Miyoo Mini Plus is capable of playing games up to the PlayStation 1. I found the Miyoo Mini Plus to be an amazing way to play Game Boy, Game Boy Advance, SNES, Genesis, and any other 8-16 bit system. It's portable and a great system to play on the go. You won't be able to play Nintendo 64 and onward, but that's perfectly fine. It's the ideal system to experience 2D games and considering it's affordable price, it's absolutely worth getting. I've been playing retro games for well over a decade and I'm very impressed with the Miyoo Mini Plus.
