I do not do Netflix streaming, only Netflix DVD.In order to use the Gift card I had to call on the phone (cannot enter it via the Internet).Once I called it was straight forward. The card was applied to my DVD account in seconds.All is well.Defective code cover. When I scraped the guard cover tfor the code numbers it only revealed 12 instead of 16 letters and numbers. I like it when we can pay for apps thru our Amazon account so we don't have to give our CC information to yet another company. Well, can't do that with Netflix. Must pay them separately. But these gift cards are a way around that! Just buy yourself a gift card, and you can use that as your payment option.Ok, the down side is you are paying all in advance as opposed to small amount monthly (I got a card loaded with $30). But it's a good workaround to giving your CC information.You still get the first 30 days free after you load the gift card. Then depending on the plan you choose and the amount of the gift card, you will get 2-3 more additional months. One more downside. Let's say you end up with maybe $4 left after a few months (which isn't enough to cover any plan). You either get another gift card, or give them a CC at that point for the balance of what you owe to go another month. You can't get a cash refund for a small balance left. But it appears...(I haven't verified it yet), that if you have a small balance left and don't want to renew....Netflix will pro-rate whatever plan you had and give you maybe a few days into another month. I think they will do that (I'm guessing by projection date they gave me for when it will be used up.)But on the other hand, can you suspend and come back later on gift card? Not sure. They don't do contracts, so you could suspend on a credit card, but not sure if you can on a gift card.I took the plan where I can use it on two devices, but not at the same time. Works for me.Oh yeah. The gift card came in the mail two days after I ordered it. Not bad. Wish they had an electronic delivery option.I'm trying to help my 72 year old mom save some money since she's on a fixed income but still thinks money grows on trees.
